Detailed Wedding Gown Becomes Beautiful Christening Gown

Vicki sent her daughter’s wedding dress to have an outfit made for her granddaughter’s baptism. The dress was covered in beautiful lace and bead work. Vicki wanted an outfit that could be worn by either a boy or a girl so we suggested a unisex gown with a ceremonial robe. That allowed us to take full advantage of all the lace and bead work. The Unisex gown is our “Bishop” style with an ornate bib collar and pleats running down the front. The robe has longer sleeves and has the lace/bead work running down the front and circling the hem. We also made a unisex bonnet and a bib to go with the outfit. There was just enough scrap fabric left for two 14″ pillow shams.
