Standard Block Memory Pillows
Memory pillows are huggable and decorative. If you have a number
of people to share memories with, they can be the more affordable
option. The final pillow is approximately 15" square. I can offer
quantity discounts because there is some time savings in making several
at the same time.
A single pillow costs $30 plus postage
Two-Four pillows cost $28 each plus postage
Five or more pillows cost $25 each plus postage
Postage runs $15 for the first pillow and $3 for each additional.
If you would like your loved one's initials or first name embroidered
on the center square, add $15 per pillow.
Giving
an Old Quilt New Life
Mary had a quilt that her grandmother had made that had
seen better days. It had gotten so worn that it could no
longer be used, but she didn't want to just pack it away
for no one to enjoy. She decided to give a piece of it to
each of her children in the form of a pillow. I tried to
save four actual blocks from the quilt for the front of the
pillow and framed them with the fabric that framed the quilt. There
wasn't enough fabric to do the back totall from the quilt
so I found a couple of fabrics that were in keeping with
the spirit of the original quilt to augment. I then kept a
bunch of the
applique butterflies from the
quilt and scattered them on the back in applique. |
 Comfort
Paula sent me some of her late mothers clothing
to make bears for her children , nieces and nephews. I also
made a pillow for her father from the scraps of left-over
fabrics.

Memory Pillow Shams
If you have several items of clothing and want a way to preserve
the memories using them, pillow shams are a wonderful way to display
those fabrics. In addition, they are durable and easily pass down
from generation to generation.
I like using these two basic patterns pictured here. One is the
pierre point star in circle and the other is a woven square. Both
of these can use 3-6 different fabrics and make beautiful accents
to just about any room.

 Memory Quilts
If you are interested in an heirloom quality memory quilt, I
provide custom quotes but need to know more about the fabrics
you want to use and the size quilt you have in mind. Quilts take
a considerable amount of time so I have to be able to adjust my
schedule to make one. Generally,
for a Crib Quilt (40" x 60") I charge $185
for a Lap Quilt (54" x 63") I charge $225
for a Twin Size (66" x 86") I charge $275
Shipping is an additonal $15.

I have been asked by several people for additional ideas of what they
