June Chaudet sent us a piece of her fur coat and a strip of the lining to have this bear made for her granddaughter. Black fur is hard to photograph, but he is very soft and cuddly.
Susan Stannard sent a mink boa that belonged to her late mother to have this bear made for her sister’s birthday. I think her sister is going to be very pleased with this special gift.
Cynthia Shane Smith sent her late mother’s stole to have these little memory bears made for herself and family members. There was a little lace on the stole lining. Not enough for four scarves so we made scarves from fabrics we had here but added a piece of the lace to each one.
Lauralyn Eimans sent her grandmother’s mink stole to have a soft, huggable bear made. There was enough fur in the stole to make a 14″ bear. We used the garment lining for the paw and ear pads and to make the scarf.
Rachel Gibson sent a fox fur that belonged to her grandmother to have a bear made for her granddaughter. Fox is a challenging fur to work with and this was a small fur so I worked with a smaller bear size than I normally would be willing to do in fox. Much of it had to be hand done because it simply wouldn’t go through my sewing machine (Olga didn’t even want to try and work on this one). I think the end result was enchanting, but this might be the last 12″ bear that I’m going to be willing to do in fox.
Barbara Platt sent her late mother’s mink fur stole to have a memory bear that she could cherish. We were able to get a 16″ bear from the fur.
Lorri Breslin sent one of her late mother’s tops to have these two bears made for her sister and herself. She asked to have the tummies and accents red and the bears black. It made for two very adorable bears.
Randi and Linda Bick wanted bears made from their late mother’s mink stole and sweater with mink collar. We mixed elements from both garments to make these two guys.
Diana Ludwig sent a fur stole to have made into this pretty little memory bear. She chose the shoe button black eyes, which went very well with the fur color.
Coleen Jankowski sent an old fur stole to have a bear made for her mother. Unfortunately, quite a bit of the fur couldn’t be used because it had gotten dried out and torn. We were able to get one small bear for her.
